Afterschool
Spraoi Childcare provides an after-school club in each crèche. We operate a drop off and collection service to/from selected primary schools.
Enrolment
Please note that it is a separate enrolment process for children moving from Spraoi Childcare to After School Care. Enrolment forms are issued to parents/guardians in February each year for September start date, once the forms have been submitted to the créche management, a member of the Admissions team will confirm if there is/is not availability.
Each centre caters for specific primary schools in the locality. Please ask the crèche manager for a list of the schools.
What's Included?
The after school club includes the following services:
Collection & Drop off Service
Our after school care service starts at 7.30 a.m.
Children are brought to school by Spraoi Childcare staff. All Spraoi staff who are responsible for collecting our after school children will be in full uniform at all times.
We ask all parents to drop their children to the crèche by 8.10am each morning.
Meals
We provide the healthiest meals possible for your child. All the meals are prepared by hand by our in-house chef each day and only fresh ingredients are used in each meal. Our after-school children are greeted with a delicious home cooked meal each day upon return from school.
Breakfast: Cereals are provided in the morning prior to the departure for schools. We would like to ask parents to drop their child/ren to crèche at least 20 minutes before the departure time if they wish to have breakfast.
Dinner: After school your child will be provided with a hot nutritious meal prepared by our on-site chef.
Tea: A light evening meal is provided by our chef at approx. 4pm
Supervised Homework
A supervised homework period is provided each day after dinner. We aim to complete as much homework as possible with the children during this time.
We understand the importance of supporting your child’s education from an early stage. Our qualified staff will supervise your child’s homework each afternoon. We recognise that the completion of their homework to a high standard is vital.
We aim to have worked through all of your child’s homework before collection from crèche as we understand the difficulties the children may have in completing their homework when they arrive home, late in the evening. This will also give our parents an opportunity to spend quality time with their children each evening. However, we do suggest that our parents complete the reading element of the homework with their child at home and sign their homework journals.
School Holiday Camps
Spraoi Childcare provides options for care for all after school children during school holidays. The after school drop and collection service is not in operation over the school holiday period. Your child is welcome to attend our creche for normal afternoon care or full days during the school holiday period.
After School Billing Information
After School Fees are payable over a 12 month/52 week period. Standard Afterschool Fees will apply during all mid-terms and school holidays including summer breaks, these additional fees will cover your child’s regular afternoon care as per normal during these breaks. Should your child wish to attend full day care over the mid-term breaks and school holidays including summer breaks then an additional fee will apply for the additional mornings and/or days attended during this time. This fee is in addition to their Standard After School Fees.
